Nick Simmons Workshop
Gloucester, Mass
October, 2013

After four days of intense, exciting art practice and new technique discovery we spent our fifth and final day doing a bit of "paint hurling" as I like to call it!  Using a combination of fluid acrylic and watercolor we were encouraged to step outside our comfort zone and indulge in the happy carefree spirit of childhood by flinging paint at the wall and then making a smashing piece of art out of the results.

It was liberating and heart-stopping all at the same time and a wonderful way to end the workshop. We had a great group of painters - not a pill among them - and a terrific teacher!  Kudos to all!

  1. A pretty wild week! With the deluge, leaky roof, and a few snafus, it somehow all turned out great. Glad you enjoyed it! :)
